- The U.S. economy is in a slow “recovery” period after experiencing a long and deep recession which lasted from 2007-09. In a paragraph describe how the economic downturn and slow growth of recent years has affected you, your family, your neighbors, your community, your job, your future? Do you see evidence that the economy is recovering? Who/what do you think is responsible for the current state of the economy? Do you believe that economic growth will pick up in the future?
