Different Cultures
Culture plays an important part in raising children. Parents may follow traditions we are not aware of. Use your favorite search engine or the Rasmussen library and research two cultures you are unfamiliar with. These could be cultures of infants or toddlers in your care that you would like to learn more of or other cultures you would like to learn more about. In a 1 to 2 page paper address the following:
• Describe how these cultures are different or similar to your culture.
• How does the culture view child-rearing? Research issues of feeding, sleeping, extended family relationships, and play. You should also explore how the different cultures view toilet training.
• Discuss what you would add to a classroom so infants and toddlers of this culture would feel welcome.
Use APA formatting for your paper. Include at least one in-text citation from your text, readings or additional research. In addition, include a title page and a reference page. For more information on APA guidelines, refer to the APA guide in the Rasmussen library.
