How does social devaluation impact

Problem:

Maria Desai was depressed, isolated and feeling helpless when she learnt that her vision will continue to deteriorate due to her disease and that one day she will be completely blind. This was very sad news for Maria and her mother. Maria's case manager Lana appointed you as her support worker. You acknowledged and researched Maria's condition and Maria and found that Maria loves playing cricket. Since she received the news of her health condition four weeks ago, Maria has stopped playing. As her support worker, you have suggested that she engages in the sport/game again so that she does not feel isolated and helpless. After a few support sessions and assistance from the community and her mother, Maria has started playing again and currently she is the Vice-captain of Surrey Hills cricket team and Captain of the International Ladies cricket team. Maria is now a very bubbly and positive person, always offering support to others and setting an amazing example with her 'can do' attitude. Her vision has, fortunately, not deteriorated, and cricket has played a significant positive role in her life. Maria says that a lot of the confidence she has now is due to her involvement in cricket. It's helped her to find a job, given her the support skills she needed to enable her to live by herself and removed her from isolation. 1. Select from the following answers, how does social devaluation impact Maria's life: 1.a. Maria was very isolated and depressed 1.b. Maria always. Need Assignment Help?
