The major nitrogenous wastes and identify their sources

Nitrogenous waste these are metabolic products that are known to contain urea and uric acid in living organisms source; of nitrogenous waste "Dictionary of Biology". The Excretory is the system of an organism's body performing the function of excretion, the bodily process of discharging wastes.

Nitrogenous wastes are the nitrogen substances through which the excess nitrogen is removed from the body, and these are the metabolic wastes that are left after the metabolic process and are of no use to the organism. Urea, ammonia, uric acid, and creatinine all are produced by protein metabolism. The presence of these nitrogen substances is toxic for the body as they raise the pH of the body, so the body excretes it through feces or urine.

The excretion of nitrogenous wastes is carried out exclusively by the kidneys. There are four kidneys in Nautilus and two in the coleoids. The central nervous system is highly developed, with the major ganglionic centers in the head. In some of the cuttlefishes, the cerebral centers are subdivided for specialization, with the pedal ganglia divided into brachial antipodal elements that innervate the arms and funnel respectively. In active squids, the mantle is innervated by giant paired dorsal axons. Much of the present knowledge of mechanisms of nerve impulse conduction has come from the study of these giant axons. The sense organs of the cephalopods are the eyes, rhinophores (olfactory organs), statocysts (organs of equilibrium), and tactile organs. In Nautilus the eyes are open pits without lenses. In the Coleoidea the eyes are complex and approach those of some lower vertebrates inefficiently.

Uremia occurs when there is an excess of urea and other nitrogenous waste products in the blood. Both types of renal failure are characterized by azotemia (accumulation of nitrogenous wastes in the blood) and sometimes oliguria (reduced urine volume for age), indicating the kidney's inability to excrete metabolic waste products. Chronic renal failure eventually results in anuria(absence of urine output).
