Apply a theoretical viewpoint from one of the following theorists: Saint Simon, Comte, Martineau, Douglass or deToqueville in reference to any current social justice issue in the world today. How does the work of one of these theorists connect to our current cultural and societal context in reference to a social justice issue? How does an aspect of the theoretical perspective you choose contribute to an understanding or relate to the current social justice issue you would like to address? This is an opportunity to discuss various important social movements taking place in society today: human rights, climate activism, Black Lives Matter, Indigenous rights and other political and social justice movements in the context of a theoretical perspective discussed by one of the theorists above.
