How does a muscle shorten according to the sliding filament model or theory? Explain in detail.
I am struggling with the whole concept of the sliding filament theory. I dont undertand the relationship between tension and length, and how the muscle actually shortens. In addition, I don't understand the different bands and zones that compose the sarcomere.
