How do you see cross-cultural connections in your life to

I need help getting started on the following assignment.

The assignment asks: How do you see cross-cultural connections in your life? To start consider the following cultures: China, Japan, India, the Middle East, and Native Americans. Now, consider the artistic, spiritual, political, architectural, and/or social structures of these communities. Have you connected with any of them? Try to base your response around this connection. This may take a little self-reflection.

I guess I am not too sure what is meant by connection. Also, I'm not sure how to structure this paper. I would like to have a strong introduction that discusses cross culture and what is meant by cross-cultural connections. I think from there, I can try to self-reflect and figure something out with how I may connect with one of these cultures. I worked for a Native American tribe for several years, but I'm not sure how I would use that as a connection. Also, I am familiar with the Chinese culture as the majority of my friends are from China, but also, I am not sure how I could connect this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
