How do you know what emotion is being expressed

Problem

In order to experience how important nonverbal are to communication, you need to watch at least 30 minutes of a television program (preferably a situational comedy) either on the TV or online. For the first 10 minutes, watch the show with ONLY sound (so turn away from the set) and answer questions #1-5. The next 10 minutes after, watch the show with ONLY picture, NO sound (put the set on MUTE) and answer questions #6-10. Finally, for the last 10 minutes, watch the show with both sound and picture and answer questions #11-15.
