How do you calculate the percent yield of aproduct from H-NMR peaks? Not using any other method, they are not available. The only information we have now is the H-NMR's we ranof our products.
The reaction ran was an esterification reaction (carboxylic acid +alchohol with DBSA and water to form an ester). It was stated inthe handout that the yield can be determined by comparing compoundsof the HNMR, using the integration of the peaks. However, I stilldon't understand how that works.
