A word paper with cited sources that addresses the following questions:
- How do working conditions between the 1930s and 1950 compare to working conditions today?
- What was your career like in the 1930s-1950s? If it didn't exist, what type of job would you have had in the late 19th or early 20th century? How does that compare to the career you have planned today?
Ideas to consider:
- What was the working environment like for your career type in the late 19th or early 20th century?
- Where do you work today (outside, in an office building, etc)?
- How would working conditions affect your health then and now?
- How have race relations and civil rights changed your workplace? Are there women in your field? Are there people of all races? How would this compare to the 1930s?
