Question 1. last week many of you touched on personnel access systems, particularly with respect to a need to know and not just a blanket security clearance. What are some of these systems? Please share how the movement of employees and visitors are controlled at your workplace - or pick a former work place if you're not now working or the information at your current place of employment might be sensitive. How well is that system working? Are there problems you can share? How would you make it better? Can you make an argument that a facility without access controls is an unprotected facility? Also think of access control in places you frequent - stores, gas stations, movie theaters, nightclubs, schools, etc. How do they function? Is it effective or should additional access control measures be implemented - if so, what would you recommend?
Question 2. it might be hard to believe, but I can recall a time when personal computers - and computers in the work place - were simply non-existent! When they were introduced, technology was thought to be grand, but despite their many uses many risks have surfaced. What risks do you see in your workplace, or even at home? What risks can threaten any organization - and what might threaten national security?
