1. Compare and contrast the portrayal of Europeans and Africans in Chapter Three of Heart of Darkness with Things Fall Apart. What does this reveal about colonialism in Africa?
2. Read Chinua Achube's "An Image of Africa: Racism in Heart of Darkness." Do you agree with his perspective? Why or why not? Use the literary readings this week to support your opinion.
3. How do the Christian missionaries change Igbo people?
4. Is Okonkwo heroic?
