Problem
Essay questions are based on the material covered in Chapters 1-8 in the OpenStax U.S. History textbook and you can use the documents and essays from Major Problems in American U.S. History, Vol. 1, Chapters 1-5 which you have examined in the Discussion Question assignments, to support your arguments. The exam will have you answer a selection of 4 essay questions, chosen at random.
Each paragraph should have evidence from either or both textbooks and should cite what chapter segment, document, or essay you are basing your arguments/analysis. Each question response should be 3 toooo 5 paragraphs, a good size paragraph is 6 tooo 8 sentences.
• History is filled with unintended consequences. How do the British government's attempts to control and regulate the colonies during this tumultuous era provide a case in point? How did the aims of the British measure up against the results of their actions?
