• How do the advantages of studying infectious animal diseases on the mainland outweigh the risks associated with the studying of these diseases offshore? Or do they?
• Can we even determine all of the problems that studying infectious animal diseases will have on society? How?
• In general, why is it reasonable for the government to fund extensive research on possible threats of the study of infectious animal diseases? Or should it be left to the private sector? Why?
