Assignment Problem: Dr. Marc Straus was the head of the Boston University cancer study, when the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group [ECOG] led the fraudulent research (United States [U.S.] House of Representatives, 1981). Dr. Straus was accused of providing falsified reports ECOGH for 2 years, as participants' birthdays were changed in order to include ineligible patients, giving dosages that are different from the plan, reporting the research that was never done, and creating the cancer mass that did not even exist (U.S. House of Representatives, 1981). Five other staff witnessed those manipulating reports on a research project by Dr. Strauss, and the National Institute of Health punished Dr. Strauss (Hilts, 1982, May 20)
