2. What are the Africanisms found in popular music in the Americans (especially african-american music and afro-cuban music)?
3. Consider the concepts cultural hybridity,cultural nationalism, and cultural imperialism? How might these apply or not apply to salsa music, chicano rock, and latin boogaloo? How might they apply to mexican corrido, connjunto, ranchera, and mariachi music?
