How did you feel as you were taking the survey

Assignment Task: How did you feel as you were taking the survey? How did your results accurately reflect your perceptions of yourself? What kind of reliability and validity information can be found on the surveys and how would you assess the quality of the surveys? How could you use these surveys in a therapeutic setting? How you can apply your experiences in your role as a therapist.

The Self- Compassion Scale, Short Form (SCS-SF) (Raes et al., 2011).

The same strategy was used to investigate the validity of the SCS-SF. Raes et al. (2011) concluded that the short form (free on the internet) is just as valid and reliable as the longer form. The six different subscales that constructed this test were delineated from the three-part definition of self-compassion: being able to be warm towards the self in spite of difficulties or self-doubt, being mindful of how one is processing experiences, and the recognition of the human condition. To ensure greater validity, the subscales themselves were chosen from pairs of intercorrelated items (again, comparison) (Raes et al., 2011).
