1. Bring in some detailed information about slavery in the Chesapeake region, development, crops, living conditions, treatment, and so on.
2. How did the freedom documents established during the American Revolution and the beginning of a free America affect the slaves? Did it change the institution of servitude? Were some slaves freed? Could they vote? Did it lead to legislation benefiting slaves?
3. Did it change the white public's perception of the bondage system? Provide an analysis.
