The Julio-Claudians and Flavians had "good" emperors but why call them "good" emperors?
The Antonian dynasty this is the fourth dynasty. Any patterns with the previous dynasties? How power shifted in the Roman Empire? What seem to be the necessary ingredients for a change of dynasty? How did the Empire survive? Have the reasons for its survival remained Augustus foundation? Or have they changed? How did the Empire survive this twist?
