Essay Problem: U.S. HISTORY
This problem examines cultural history in relation to urban history, ethnic studies, and musical history. For this essay, you will watch the video posted below, take notes, and then, using specific examples, write a full three-page reflection paper (1000 words minimum) that answers the following questions:
How did popular culture and music shape people's identities in the video? How did this dynamic change over time? How did social change influence cultural change? Be sure to discuss the particulars of who, what (what happened?), where, when, and why. Be specific. This assignment is a reflection essay, which means that it is a freestyle writing assignment.
