Problem: Culture has a huge influence on health and healing beliefs. Each topic cannot be viewed and examined in its entirety without the other. While there are several different approaches an anthropologist can take in order to address the study of health in culture, it is imperative that they use the right method in their research plan. For example, when an anthropologist goes to study health in a different culture via participant observation, they will need to minimize their impact and presence in order to mitigate interference and a compromised result (Joralemon, 2016, p. 15)
