The Constitution is a document that was subject to compromises during its creation. Many of these compromises, however, concerned matters of great principle and conviction, such as the "Great Compromise" and the compromise to include a Bill of Rights to the Constitution.
a) Describe these two compromises.
b) Are modern American politicians more or less willing to compromise on matters of principle than the Founding Fathers? Should they be? Why or why not?
c) How could a spirit of compromise help resolve an issue today such as the "Dreamers" immigration issue? Explain.
