How come we do not hear complaints about this as frequently

Class, isn't it interesting to see that all of us immediately thought of assistance for needy families. However this country also provides what has been called "corporate welfare."

In the 1920s this term described corporations that provided safer working conditions, better pay and hours in an effort to avoid unionization.

Today this term refers to corporations that take federal money to operate or pay little to no taxes. Our government gives large subsidies to oil companies, coal companies, big agribusinesses, big pharmaceuticals, etc.

How come we do not hear complaints about this as frequently as the family with five kids getting too much help? How come GE is not shamed for paying no taxes?

How come Monsanto is not publicly shamed for taking millions in public funds like regular citizens are? Are our priorities in the right place?
