Hostility to communism is the cause of the Cold War, but can you be more specific there? What about what happens in 1945 that really causes tension between East and West? Think about the issues like the Berlin Blockade and the controversy concerning eastern elections. The Candy Bomber video helps to highlight how capitalist west and communist east were stuck in an ideological war with one another after WWII. How did that video help you understand food as a weapon during this war?
