Discussion Board Topic: Throughout history, the laws surrounding illicit substances have changed substantially. Compare early 20th century United States with current day United States. What types of restrictions/laws have been put into place regarding the use and distribution of drugs? Have the laws created new behaviors surrounding the manufacturing and use of drugs? Have restrictions led to new ways of supplying drugs to those who wish to use them? Use your module resources to support your answers.

Using your module resources, explain how deviance, delinquency, and crime can at times intersect with each other. Do you feel that society is quick to label certain types of behavior as "criminal"? How can the label of "criminal" harm those who receive it? What are some theories that might explain why a person will commit deviance?
