Nursing is the largest health care profession nationwide. Because of the large number of nurses, they are in a position to influence health care policy at both the local and national level. However, many nurses are not politically active. Discuss the following:
o Should nurses be politically active?
o How can nurses make a difference in the health and safety of the public by becoming involved in shaping policy?
