Diversity in the American Workplace(4-5 pages)
For the beginning of the semester through Nov 10, compile a log of articles (minimum of 5) from national newspapers (e.g., NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, L.A. Times, Village Voice, Christian Science Monitor) to determine the status of efforts to value diversity in the American workplace.
1. Based on your findings, write-up a short news analysis
2. Make an assessment of where the U.S. is today: 1. Still in the mud; 2. Just coming out of the ooze; 3. on the slippery slope; or 4. On the Plateau Where Diversity is Valued. Your assessment must be supported by academic sources.
