How biosafety levels are used in microbiology labs

Problem: Reply to these in one paragraph.

Biosafety levels are used in microbiology labs and organize organisms into 1-4 levels based on risk and severity of infection the organism brings. These levels act as guidelines for protecting laboratory personnel and the lab environment when working with infectious organisms. As levels increase the hazards and risk of infection increases, and necessary precautions are put in place. Biosafety level one agents pose relatively minimal risk of causing disease in healthy individuals. Standard lab practices are usually adequate, complete PPE included gloves, lab coats, and protective eyewear are necessary. No special safety equipment or facility design is required. Some Biosafety Level one agents include Escherichia coli, chickenpox, and Bacillus subtilis. Level two agents pose moderate risk and are the most encountered in the lab. Stricter lab protocols are followed and bio safety containers may be used when aerosols are a concern. Access to the lab is restricted and disposal of waste is more regulated. Salmonella and shigella are biosafety level 2 agents. Levels 3 and 4 biosafety labs require personnel  to have specific trusting regarding pathogens and infectious diseases, these agents are not commonly seen other than research labs but can be lethal. Work may be done in a bio safety container and ventilation is controlled. Level 3 agents include mycobacterium tuberculosis and malaria. Biosafety Level 4 handles the most dangerous agents and pathogens with high fatality rates and no available treatments/vaccines. This level requires all work to be done in the bio safety container, workers must wear fully sealed suits connected to oxygen to prevent infection by aerosols and suits must be sanitized by chemical showers immediately after leaving the biosafety container. Some agents include Ebola and Marburg virus. Need Assignment Help?
