b. Spiritual Reflection Paper: utilizing required reading, classroom lectures, and spiritual disciplines and practices. Address the following questions in your paper (5-6 pages):
• What is your understanding or definition of spiritual formation?
• Explain how the Scriptures formulate your understanding of formation.
• How are you following the spiritual disciplines of: Bible intake, prayer, fasting, silence and solitude, study and learning, worship, evangelism, serving, stewardship, simplicity, journaling from Whitney's text? Share the benefits and struggles of your spiritual journey with the spiritual disciplines.
• How might spiritual formation affect your future personal life and ministry? Include a spiritual formation plan for continued growth.
• This is not merely a summary of material presented in class or which you have read. Rather, it should reflect on some original and creative thought based upon what has been discussed in lectures and upon your readings. It is not a research paper so much as personal interaction and application of the material.
