Problem:
Respond to this discussion post: How are personality disorders different from all other disorders we have discussed so far? What links all the Cluster B disorders? Describe the group. Personality disorders are different from other disorders because they are generally a lifelong disorder and are not generally diagnoses in early stages of life. Also according the video all people have personality traits but they become Personality disorders when the person becomes maladaptive to the situations around them .often involve more episodic or situational symptoms. Whereas anxiety/depression these are just a few to name where they are situational and can pass rather quickly or with a change of atmosphere. Also personality disorder can happen quickly and cause injury to people directly connected to the person or even to the person themselves and 90% of the time, the action was never meant to actually cause pain or death to anyone. How do you distinguish between the individual Cluster B disorders? What are the distinguishing factors? These considered to be the more dramatic disorders and have more information on these. Cluster B are anti-social, narsassistic and borderline and histrionic. People with cluster B disorders normally have more than one diagnosis according to the video. They are linked to each other because they share common traits such as dramatic, emotional and unpredictable. Need Assignment Help?
