How are Hispanics integrating into main-stream America?
When you understand that Hispanics have been in America since the 1500's, it should not come as a surprise that, as a group, they are completely integrated into American society. They have given names to cities, mountain ranges, rivers and even states in the Southwest region of the United States. They have provided hundreds of words to the English language, most of which speak of life and culture in the Southwest. They are influential in American politics, music and movies, sports, and business. Additionally, they provide a large percentage of the workforce in America.
