Logging is an important security activity designed to assist with protecting an organization. Why is logging necessary? How and when should an audit of logs be completed? What information does the person auditing the logs look for in those logs? Create a security policy written for security administrators that describes who is responsible for logging, how often, and any other necessary information to ensure that employees and administrators understand the purpose of auditing logs.
