In honor of the World Cup, here's a chance to explain some sports science.
Your job is to explain to the average person how a soccer player is able to make a ball curve left or right. This involves aerodynamic forces. There are lots of explanations of this on the web So you'll need to spend a few minutes online making sure you understand the concepts before you provide your own explanation. And please make sure you use your own words, not text from a website! Any references to this year's World Cup goals will earn you extra credit. Maximum length: 500 words. I need simple words without jargon to easy any someone to understand it.
