Problem
You have read many short stories by different authors all using different techniques to hold your attention while you read.
Your job is to write a narrative (200 words minimum) describing an event that happened to you that had a beginning, a middle and an end.
Use at least a couple of the techniques below to make your story more interesting:
• Use dialogue.
• Develop your setting or mood with descriptive language that appeals to the senses.
• Use metaphors and similes.
• Develop character by showing how a person changes during the events in your story.
• Use dramatic irony to enhance humour or tension in your story.
• Develop your story using rising action.
• Have a climax that resolves the events of the story.
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
