70yr old severe stroke on ventilator in ICU, family meeting held and hospital doctor explains irreversible brain damage and discuss the end of life and withdrawal of life support.Family verbalizes understanding and goes back to patient room. RN entering patient's room hears 1 family members say mom would not want to be hooked up to machines. Another family member says don't tell anyone she signed forms on last admission to hospital. I don't think we should stop life support. Is it acceptable for the nurse to ignore comments?
