RESEARCH QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED

1. Explain why the design / art movement happened. Give the background and influences by describing events and other ‘forces' behind the design movement. For example social, political and historical events / groups; discoveries and developments (technological or scientific); where the movement's ideas/styles came from e.g other countries or design movements.

2. Describe what the movement looked like by analysing the key style features. Describe the colours, shapes, materials used, style themes (nature, war, speed, grid/layout, removing decoration etc).

3. Describe the main people who influenced the design movement. Briefly LIST the main artist/designer/craftsman from the movement, what they are most remembered for, the medium they worked in or with, their characteristic style.
