There are many different organizations that create and maintain healthcare data sets. By Day 1 of Week One, you will be assigned one of the following data sets to research and share with the class:

o Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS)
o Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set (UHDDS)
o Community Health Status Indicators (CHSI)
o Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)
o National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES)
o Diabetes Registry
o Medical Device Registry
o National Practitioner Data bank
o National survey of Ambulatory Surgery
o National Hospital Care Survey
For your assigned data set, include the following information in your initial post:
o The data source
o Data type
o A minimum of ten data elements
o Targeted population
o Purpose of the data set
o How the data is collected and used
o Identify and summarize an article/report regarding the data findings.
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
