Criminal Justice 502: Writing Seminar for Criminal Justice
Health is a word that has become a popular topic on the radio, internet, and press. Nowadays, it is very rare to turn on our television and watch without the endless advertising of "delicious", "healthy" food. Fifty five percent of the televised delicious, healthy food does not meet recommended government nutritional guidelines. Nearly seventy five percent of all deaths in the United States are health related and is consistent.
I chose health as my topic due to the strong connection I have with it, and I consider it as one of the top prioritites in my life. Growing up,
I never implemented healthy food choices nor was it emphazied in my life until now. Just last year, I started researching the food that we consume in reference to how it's made, and to my surprise, I discovered the unbearable truth, "You are what you eat." But since that day my whole world has changed for the better, physically, mentally, and emotionally. We only have one body, and we should treat it correctly, you put in good, you get out good.
In this upcoming paper I have plans to address the illness/diease that is created by what we consume, how the media plays a major role in what we eat, choosing a healthy diet, and maintaining the perfect excersie routine. I have a desire to not only encourage myself on this healthy transition,but to spread encouragement amongst others as well. Though the process can be challenging, it is also rewarding. Health is wealth.
