Activity 1: Please refer to the Pre Prac 2 on the portal to conduct this test and answer the following questions:
1. Briefly explain if you think you are left or right brain dominant (or neither) and why?
2. What was the percentage of left-brain vs right-brain activity after youcompleted the test?

1. What are the two divisions of the autonomic nervous system?
2. Explain how the two divisions of the autonomic nervous system influence heart rate.
3. List four other physiological changes could you expect to observe with each division of the autonomic nervous system.
4. A patella reflex (or knee jerk reaction) and the motion of kicking a soccer ball are not controlled the same way by the nervous system, despite both involving extension of the knee joint.
a. Explain from a neural perspective how the patella reflex is initiated.
b. A friend has kicked a soccer ball to you, and you are watching the ball come to you and you wish to kick it back. From a neural perspective, how does this motion differ from the mechanism of the patella reflex? Please consider the pre and post central gyrus in your answer.
