Hazard Analysis

Two steps recognized as preliminary and detailed analysis of hazard are taken. Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) serves two aims:

(i) It can expedite bringing the new system on line but at substantially reduced risk of injuring workers, and

(ii) It can serve as a guide for a future detailed analysis.

PHA is performed by pulling together a team of expert in their respective areas as process, material, machine and product. The members who are fundamentally belonging to general area of safety engineering would question each another safety and health problem would happen after the new machine new material, new process and new product start rolling. The PHA will form a record of substances to which the worker will be exposed. Such hazards as vapor, gas, dust, liquid, fume or mist will be identified. Such type of methods of mitigating these hazards as local and general ventilation, respirator, gloves face protector or any other protector will be required. The prioritization on safety steps can after that suggested. The team will suggest dissimilar steps to be taken for improving safety. Each proposal will then be analyzed for cost. Obviously the one serving best in terms of cost / benefit ratio will be selected.
