Hawthorne effect states that:

a) giving special attention to a group of employees changes their behavior.

b) because managers are members of overlapping groups, they link formal work groups to the total organization.

c) members who have made significant contributions to the group’s goals should be allowed to take some liberties within the group.

d) members tend to conform to group norms when the norms are congruent with their personal attitudes.

e) highly cohesive groups are detrimental to organizational performance if their goals are misaligned with organizational goals.
