Having read the segments from Durie's Just War in an Unjust World (attached), what do you think of his application of Just War criteria to internal conflicts? Do you think that JWT criteria can be easily applied to revolutions against unjust regimes? Are there any criteria that would be more difficult to meet in such a scenario? What are they, and what difficulties might arise in their application? Furthermore, do you think there a 'threshold' of injustice that must be met before these principles are implemented and revolution is justified? Explain what that 'threshold' would be. Finally, in the case of injustices in the US (like those we discussed in the previous unit), what option for resistance (non-resistance, non-violent resistance or resistance with some degree of violence) do you think is appropriate from a Christian theological perspective? Explain your answer with reference to the Biblical text or doctrine.
