Discussion Post: Disability Studies
• Have you or someone close to you every experienced stigmatization related to disability or other reason? If so, what type of stigma? What are (were) the individual as well as public consequences?
• Chose at least two of the resources which are of particular interest to you. Briefly summarize the main points in each resource and elaborate further on the articles' significance to you.
• There are some functional disabilities that come into play when a person starts to grow older, especially in their later years of adulthood. Share some of these with the class. Have you known anyone who has faced such challenges? Share your experiences with the class.
