How stressed out are you, in terms of major life events? In Chapter 11 of your text the Social Readjustment Rating Scale is discussed. Go to the following page and tally up a stress score for yourself. When you click on the link, you will need to scroll down to see the questionnaire. What is your total? Notice that many of the events in the table are positive. At first glance, positive things don't seem to be stressful, but they are. In what ways? Have you experienced more positive stress or negative stress in the past year? Is there any relationship between the stress that you've experienced over the past year and your general physical and mental health (i.e., your happiness)? Are there any stressful events that you experienced that aren't listed in the table?
