I remember waaaaay back in high school when I was in biology class. We were expected to dissect a frog. I am a huge animal advocate and I objected. I stated my opinions and discussed that I felt it was unethical for me to participate in the dissection. My teacher allowed me to be excused from the dissection but I was required to write a paper instead. I was glad that I stood up for my beliefs even back then. I think that when we are in a situation when we are forced into an ethical dilemma, it can be a life changing moment.
