The Electronic Medical Record Part One: Many facilities and providers have transitioned over to some type of electronic platform for their medical records. They may be totally electronic or a hybrid of both (paper and electronic). This week you are to review how the EHR has impacted patient care, the quality care and access to care. Has the EHR made patient care better or worse?
Has the EHR improved the quality of the care that patients receive and lastly, has the EHR made access to care easier?
Also, please explain how the E (Engagement) from the "PRICE of Success" is important when it comes to understanding and learning how to operate and EHR system in the workplace.
Part two: Do you think the United States to conform to one common medical record so any and every provider and pharmacist has access to the same information? Why or why not?
