Groups and Teams
Groups and teams have several attributes, some quite positive and some less so.
1. Describe several advantages and disadvantages of very cohesive groups and teams.
2. Describe a situation in which a cohesive team would be extremely beneficial. Explain why.
3. Describe a situation in which a cohesive team would be a significant handicap. Explain.
4. Suppose you have recently become the leader of a team that is inappropriately cohesive (either very cohesive or not-at-all cohesive) but otherwise has the required skills and experience for the current challenges. How would you deal with the situation? Your team is under great pressure to get this major project accomplished within a year.
