Green bought a new car from brown motor sales for 30000

Green bought a new car from Brown motor sales for $30,000. A few days later, Green attempted to pass another vehicle, and the steering linkage locked when Green turned the wheels to the left. The resulting crash destroyed the car and sent Green to the hospital. Green’s hospital bill amount to $8,800; during the first month away from Green’s job, Green received full pay from her employer ($3,000 per month), but in the next two months, she did not. When she turned to work with a 20 percent disability, she was asked to take a job paying $2,000 per month because of her inability to perform her former job. Green is forty-five years old. Examination of the wrecked automobile showed that one joint in the steering linkage appeared too tight and that there was no grease fitting at the joint and, apparently, there had never been one even though a hole had been drilled and tapped for the fitting. Does Green have a right of action against anyone? If so, for how much? Based on what theory?
