Great depression of europe

Assignment:

Q1. Why do you think people allow dictators such as Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini to control their nation in a brutal manner?

Q2. Respond to the following paragraph:

After WWI America was still prospering economically up until the Great Depression but much of Europe was struggling to recover from the war. This led to the rise of extreme governments led by radical and ambitious politicians. Germany in particular was left with an enormous war debt that it could not pay back and much of the population was struggling. Hitler was very charismatic and promised that his leadership and policies were going to make Germany prosperous and powerful and the majority of the people supported it. It wasn't much different in Russia and Italy. I do not believe that the people under these dictatorships were forced into them, the majority of them supported it. What is more interesting is that there is still a number of people today that still idolize these dictators decades after they are dead. I believe that the people who allow these totalitarian governments to rule them or those who call for it do so mainly for economic reasons. They are economically disadvantaged and believe that large government takeover will ultimately help them but ultimately they end up in a worse situation with few basic rights or freedoms.

Your answer must be in 1 to 2 paragraph, typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides, APA format.
