Google uses the BigTable database to assist with web searches. It is built by Google and because of its size, it is abel to store a large amount of information. Facebook is a website where you can update demographic information about yourself. The search engine within the Facebook allows you only to search on Facebook. Google allows you to search the entire world wide web.
why is Facebook's design different? Or has Google just perfected something that most organizations have just now started to "tackle"?
